Parenting Education and Child Development Aid (PECDA) is a Kenyan Non Governmental Organization (NGO) implementing community development programs that are holistic, strategic and parent-child centered.
We are concerned about the plight of countless children, especially those in Naivasha area of Rift valley province, who are trapped in a cycle of hopelessness due to poverty, AIDS, lack of parental care and lack of spiritual awareness.
We believe in children's right to protection, development and use of their potential to improve their lives and make their country to live in . Parenting education and job skill training are the means to this end.
PECDA's challenge is to teach parenting core values that will help poor children embrace academic education and ethical values as a process to develop responsible citizens with acceptable behavior and character. We empower poor families through Christian-based parenting education and work oriented skills training are PECDA's priority in the programme to empower target families.
We believe that partnership with God's people who might feel touched to identify with our work, will translate into a formidable team to address the plight of the impoverished children who need bread, good health and education in their effort to claim their rightful position in society.
