PECDA operates in 2 villages - MANERA AND KIHOTO, just outside Naivasha town. Kihoto is a slum village with more than 500 families with one large
public school. FUMC CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTRE is situated right in the centre of the village.
The living conditions are pathetic with target families virtually having nothing you could call furniture or utensils. The families are large, making their conditions very desperate. Most families have between 3 and 8 children per family. In this village PECDA works with 38 single mother families.
It's always a joy to have beautiful babies coming to this world and we are all excited. But the question that keep coming to me is: Who was responsible? When will some men learn to be men both at night and during the day?
